 Business Area
Our Reception/Business Area is designed to serve you. When entering the office, we request all patients to sign-in with a finger scan, after your first visit.
This alerts us to patients entering the office and allows us to better serve you in a timely manner. From the beginning to the end of each appointment, computer tracking will expedite your visit.
 Adult Reception Area
Our Adult reception Area is located to the right of the entrance. Internet access is available by computer terminal or you may connect your laptop to our wireless internet service. A telephone to make local calls is there for your convenience.
This area is away from the activity of the business area, movie room and video arcade. Some patients and parents prefer a little peace and quiet time to themselves.
 Coffee Area
We provide complimentary “Green Mountain” fresh brewed gourmet coffee by the cup for your enjoyment. There are 16 flavors to choose from or hot tea for the non-coffee drinkers. Purified water is also available from the water cooler. Please help yourself.
 Kid’s Reception Area
Our Kid's reception area is designed to entertain young children. They love to watch the fish in the fresh water aquarium. An internet computer for your convenience, as well as wireless access for your laptop is found in this area. A telephone is also available to make local calls.
 Movie Room
Our movie room is equipped with a giant screen TV for DVD movies. Real movie seats make it fun for kids and adults alike. We often find parents and siblings watching the movies together while our patients are being treated.
This area is available to patients, friends and family to make their stay more enjoyable. You can also view our fresh water aquarium from the movie area.
 Video Arcade
Our video arcade is equipped with X Box and Nintendo games. The area is open to all patients, families and friends who visit the office. Check out the signed sports jerseys from the Championship Sabres and other sports teams on the walls.
 New Patient
Examination Room
New patients are seen, for the first time, in this "State-of-the-Art" examination area. This room is equipped with Digital Imaging and the latest in educational orthodontic tools designed to inform patient and/or parent of treatment options, if indicated, at the time of the exam.
 Digital X-Ray Area
Our x-ray room is equipped with “State of the Art” true digital radiography, exposing patients to only 10 percent of the radiation of a traditional film x-ray. These x-rays assist the orthodontist in diagnosing our patient's orthodontic needs.
Since there is no processing with digital radiography, x-rays are immediately available to expedite treatment and forward to your family dentist, via the internet, if necessary. Patients from local general dentists are often referred to our office for Panoramic x-rays that aid in the diagnosis of third molar (wisdom teeth) extraction or unusual problems that cannot be seen on a standard x-ray. 3D Digital tomography will be available in the future to better diagnose TMJ (tempero mandibular joint) problems and positioning of implants for area dentists.
 Sterilization Area
Our sterilization area was designed to optimize instrument and plier sterilization techniques. All metal pliers and instruments are dry heat sterilized according to OSHA standards. All plastic instruments are cold sterilized according to OSHA guidelines for optimum patient protection. We do not recycle brackets through sterilization techniques. All brackets, wires and attachments are new from the manufacturer to the patient.
 Operatory Treatment Area
Our "State-of-the-Art" treatment area is designed to perform optimum orthodontic procedures by the orthodontist and orthodontic hygienist in a pleasant and enjoyable environment. Each patient area is equipped to expedite the orthodontic procedure and view all x-rays, photos and treatment plans at the chair with our integrated, paperless computer system.
 Custom Orthodontic Appliance Lab
Our practice has utilized an in-office lab for fabricating and custom designing orthodontic appliances for our patients for over 20 years. It is very unusual for a practice to have an in-house orthodontic lab of this caliber. It is a great asset when a special design or emergency appliance is required to aid in the treatment of a patient. Back to top |
